Palm Cay Beach Club
Palm Cay’s new half-size Olympic swimming pool beckons club members to frolic in the sun.

Membership at an upscale, nautical community nestled along the southeastern coast of New Providence has swelled in the wake of a nearly $2million upgrade, completely refreshing Palm Cay and its suite of amenities.

The fast-growing community that employs some 100 Bahamians during its peak season is reaping the benefits of an intense six-month expansion.

“The feedback has been fantastic. We launched the membership programme upon completion of the upgrades and we currently have 200 members,” say Palm Cay.

The scope of work included construction and installation of equipment for Palm Cay club members’ fitness centre, half-size Olympic swimming pool and the extension of the dockside café to feature an open kitchen concept with space for a convenience store stocking provisions essential for a boating community and vacationing guests.

Among the wide array of new amenities and services being added were spa services, a beach bar and grill, a beachscape including private cabanas, a deck area with sun-loungers and the members-only club offering a variety of events and activities ranging from wine tastings to family movie nights.

Palm Cay also updated its beach furniture and provided additional non-motorized watersports including kayaks and paddleboards for members.

A successful property, the development features recently released new pre-construction condominiums along the marina, single-family home sites and townhomes.

Combined with its existing offerings – 1,200 feet of white, soft sand beach; a best-in-class, 194-slip full-service marina, boat tours to the Exumas, swimming pools, tennis courts, recreation areas and 24-hour security – the 69-acre resort incorporates elements often reserved for resorts into its residential offerings.

With its popularity skyrocketing among those who prize peace and relaxing getaways, Palm Cay said the goal is to create unique experiences.

“We plan to host a plethora of exciting social events designed to foster a sense of community among our diverse Palm Cay residents and club members further positioning the development as the place to live and play out east.”

Palm Cay promised signature dishes and an entertaining night when the seafront community’s bar and grill officially opens in another two weeks. It will be open to Club members and applications for membership are welcome.
